Central Virginia weddings - lovers photo co
They got married!
While we were planning their engagement shoot, Samantha dropped into our inbox asking what it would look like if they also got legally married before their wedding in a few months. Immediate yes!!! We were so excited for them, and honestly honored, because it meant we got to experience this chapter with them twice.
They chose downtown Staunton for both their legal ceremony and engagement photos, which felt very them. One of their favorite bars sits right in the middle of it all!! Skyla met them outside the city and followed them in, partly because downtown parking is a nightmare, but mostly because it gave us time to build the anticipation together on the walk over.
At the Staunton Circuit Court, our officiant met us and shared a bit of the nearby garden's history before leading us to the tucked-away spot to make it official. It was intimate and grounded with no audience, no pressure, just Samantha and Ryan tying the knot in a way that felt right for them.
And honestly, that’s the best way to start a marriage.

Bricks Restaurant & Pub
After wandering downtown for a bit, we made our way to Bricks, a spot they used to frequent back when they first started dating. It was new to us, but immediately felt like a place with history caked into the walls. Pool tables, low light, that smoky bar feel, it all made the perfect backdrop for the last stretch of our photo date. Or in the words of their friends: just a couple of horny teenagers.
We are so excited for their wedding celebration in September. ✨❣️
